Ducarbo precision carbide-tipped high speed steel twist drills machine very precise holes in hard, difficult and abrasive materials.

Ducarbo drills are accurately ground on special purpose machinery to produce a double facet drill point, which ensures self-centering and eliminates the need for drill bushes.

Ducarbo drills are produces to h8 tolerance.With cilindrical shanks from 2 mm dia. to 20 mm dia. (flute and o/all lengths to DIN 338). With Morse Taper shanks from 10 mm dia. to 40 mm dia. (flute and o/all lenghts to DIN 345).

In addition, Ducarbo drills are now available in STUB length (DIN 8037 and DIN 8041), and in LONG SERIES (DIN 340).

Specials are available subject to specification and quantity required.

GRINDING INSTRUCTION

For best results we recommend using a diamond wheel, grain size D 107, concentration C75.

Ducarbo drills are ground with an 120º cutting angle - suitable for the majority of applications.

For very hard materials, we recommend 130-140º cutting angle, combined with web-thinning to reduce poin pressure.

PACKAGING

Ducarbo drills are delivered in a transparant snappack, good to handle and clearly showing the drills.
The larger cilindrical drills and the MT drills are delivered in square tubes.
